How Wise Media uses AI

Wise Media is an AI-hybrid production company. We use AI as a tool in service of human storytelling, and we keep human judgment at the centre of everything we make.

How we use it

We use AI to speed routine production work such as transcription, captioning and asset management; to explore ideas and widen our options; to accelerate image, video and motion work where it serves the film; and to produce first-pass drafts that our team then shapes.

How we do not use it

We do not let AI make the decisions that define the work. The story, the point of view, the way we represent the people in our films, and the final cut are made by people. Our relationships with subjects, clients and collaborators are human, and they stay that way.

Transparency

Where our work contains AI-generated content, we disclose it, in line with the EU AI Act and our own standards. A person reviews everything before it is released. We clear the rights to the material we use, we do not put in material we have no right to use, and we keep a record of how each piece was made.

Why

The value of what we make lies in taste, authorship and judgment. Those are human, and we protect them. AI widens what we can do; it does not decide what we should make.
